Therapy
Based on concerns discussed as part of the initial consultation, we may offer follow-up intervention services to your child and their caregivers.
We typically recommend frequent sessions to start (e.g. once per week), before decreasing the frequency of sessions once significant progress has been made. In between sessions, we encourage caregivers to practice the skills that were taught and complete homework where relevant.
This process is meant to be short-term, with the goal of equipping you and other caregivers with the skills and strategies you need to effectively work with your child without a therapist present. Once goals are met, we may recommend taking a break from therapy. Should new problems or concerns arise in the future, therapy may be resumed.
